About the Role Teaching Assistants will support students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and academic learning within the classroom as part of a two-person team serving up to eight students. The role focuses on delivering effective, accessible learning, providing personalised support and helping pupils develop resilience, social skills and self-esteem.
What You'll Do
- Support teachers to deliver effective and accessible learning for all students.
- Offer personalised support to help students achieve.
- Be a calm, regulated presence to support children with SEMH and other emotions.
- Recognise and celebrate small steps of progress with students.
- Help support the teacher in the organisation and running of a classroom.
- Recognise that every child is unique and adapt strategies to help them in school.
