About this role

About the Role Carterton Community College is creating five new non-teaching pastoral roles to boost student inclusion, wellbeing and belonging. The Support and Belonging Lead will have responsibility for a specific year group, working with the pastoral team to ensure students feel safe, supported and ready to learn. What You'll Do

  • Provide non-teaching pastoral support for a designated year group.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Year and safeguarding teams to promote inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Support vulnerable or disadvantaged students and help remove barriers to learning.
  • Contribute to school improvement by promoting a positive, safe environment. What We're Looking For
  • Passion for supporting young people and improving pupil outcomes.
  • Ability to work as part of a pastoral/safeguarding team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing. Nice to Have
