About the Role Eckerd College is seeking a Senior Tax and Financial Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team in St. Petersburg, FL. The role analyzes accounting transactions, evaluates financial and tax implications of College activities, and supports the preparation of financial statements and annual audits. The position works with campus stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do
- Researches, analyzes, and documents technical accounting and tax issues using ASC, AICPA guidance, IRS regulations, NACUBO advisories, and other authoritative guidance applicable to higher education and not-for-profit organizations
- Prepares technical accounting memoranda, tax analyses, and position papers supporting institutional accounting conclusions and compliance determinations
