About the Role The Route Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of gas cylinders to customers in Ottawa, ensuring compliance with TDG and safety protocols. This role combines hands-on loading/unloading with documentation and fleet readiness to support reliable customer service.
What You'll Do
- Load and unload cylinders, count quantities and styles, and verify that loads align with shipping documents.
- Check and placard vehicles per Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.
- Follow operating and safety procedures while completing assigned tasks.
- Complete shipping orders and related paperwork, including trip reports and fuel tickets.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report any defects to your supervisor.
