About the Role Whitburn Church of England Academy is seeking a committed Physics teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 science with a focus on Physics. The role is permanent and part-time at 0.8 FTE (full-time considered for suitable candidates) and requires DBS clearance and eligibility to work in the UK. What You'll Do
- Teach Physics to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils across the ability range
- Plan high-quality learning sequences based on strong pedagogical knowledge
- Use a range of assessment and review techniques to track pupil progress and adapt teaching
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment; motivate learners; scaffold and challenge as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole-school CPD and ECT mentoring
- Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues What We're Looking For
- Graduate with QTS
- A good quality honours degree or equivalent
