About the Role Rockwell Automation is seeking a Mechanical Designer to develop AMRs within a cross‑functional robotics team. You will apply a strong foundation in mechanical design and system‑level reasoning to transform high‑level concepts into functional mechanical subsystems that integrate with electrical and software components. This role reports to the Manager, Mechanical Systems and features a hybrid schedule in Waterloo, Ontario. What You'll Do
- Lead the design of AMR mechanical subsystems such as chassis structures, suspension systems, payload structures, and safety-related mechanical features by developing detailed CAD models, assemblies, drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis including structural analysis, fatigue and durability assessments, tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, torque calculations, and vibration analysis.
