About the Role The Grant Accountant will establish and maintain grant accounts in the university’s financial system and monitor expenditures to ensure compliance. This role supports grant administration within the University’s Business & Fiscal Affairs division to advance responsible stewardship of grant funds and timely reporting to funding agencies. What You'll Do
- Establish and maintain grant accounts in the university’s financial system.
- Communicate monthly with grant principal investigators.
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure costs are allowable and reasonable.
- Review transactions for compliance with external agency and university policies.
- Track grant budgets and spending patterns and identify potential overruns or underutilization.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to funding agencies according to grant requirements.
- Reconcile grant accounts monthly.
