About the Role Cost Accountant at Marex responsible for analysis and accurate recording of expenditure, developing cost-control systems, and monitoring expenses across sources to ensure data accuracy. The role includes month-end close tasks such as preparing complex journals (accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations) and addressing cost-related queries, while partnering with Procurement, Market Data, Legal and Accounts Payable to drive significant cost-process improvements and support transfer pricing recharge across Marex group entities.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the preparation of monthly cost accounting journals including complex accruals
- Review and identify accounting and coding errors ensuring expenses are correctly prepaid or amortised
- Investigate and explain cost variances across the group
