About the Role Louis Dreyfus Company seeks a Coffee Trader in Nairobi to manage purchases and sales, negotiate FOB contracts, develop a portfolio of customers (roasters, traders, importers), lead negotiations, travel for origin assessments, oversee contract execution from confirmation to shipment, ensure compliance with trade regulations, and maintain accurate records while supporting East Africa trading activities. What You'll Do
- Purchases and sales; negotiate contracts covering price, quality, shipment periods, payment terms, and Incoterms (FOB).
- Develop and manage a portfolio of customers including roasters, traders, and importers.
- Lead customer negotiations and strategic accounts.
- Participate in origin travel, crop assessments, and producer visits.
- Oversee execution of FOB contracts from confirmation through shipment.
