Assistant Storekeeper
The Assistant Storekeeper is expected to achieve effective performance and control of the receiving, shipping, storing transferring, cycle counting, and issuing of parts and materials.
The Assistant Storekeeper must demonstrate the ability to progress to the storekeeper position. This person must progress in a measured manner in meeting the qualification requirements as outlined in the Stores Development Manual.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following
- Issue material to user departments.
- Identify and return material from user departments and ensure that the material meets the original or useable condition.
- Pick up and deliver material as directed.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Comply with storeroom Safety and Security Policies.
